Black-led Parker Village & Dream Builders Partner on Clean Energy Neighborhood Development

January 25, 2023, Courtesy of Parker Village News~ Parker Village is a smart neighborhood centered around a community resource center under development on East Buena Vista. This month they announced a new partnership with Dream Builders, a Black-owned and veteran-led construction company. Dream Builders will lead a series of sustainable construction projects planned for the Parker Village campus on the former property of Thompson Elementary School. Parker Village is conceptualized as community resource center providing jobs, skill building and business incubation for people from traditionally underserved communities. There are also houses and other buildings on Parker Village's build-out agenda.

Dream Builders will relocate its headquarters to the site and plans to provide training programs for veterans, young people, and individuals looking for new job opportunities. Dreambuilders construction company will begin taking applications for employment in mid-February. In early March dates will be posted for training sessions in the various relevant trades.
