It's going to be an Avalon Village kind of Weekend, Parkers! Mama Shu and Ma Dukes have planned a huge celebration for Dilla Days at The Homework House, 40 Avalon Street!
First up, Friday night an epic line-up is planned in honor of the King of Smooth Beats featuring SUPAEMCEE, with appearances by P-Dot, Valid, Stretch Money, Miz Korona, Killa Ghanz, and Ellie Sandiego. Hit the pause button on your netflix binge! This is an opportunity to honor a home-grown musical superstar while listening to cutting edge contemporary musicians as they pay him tribute, all for a single Hamilton!

As if that were not dope enough, the money we spend together Friday on beats and bliss, a mere $20 each, goes to support the Sun Boy Records' Music Camp! Parkers, that's summer camp right here in Highland Park for teaching our next generation of musical artists to make their own sublime sounds!
Then on Saturday, from Noon until 6:00, The Homework House is doing "J Dilla Youth Day" for young people ages 8 to 18. Think of it as a mini-music camp. There will be performances by professional musicians, musical workshops, DJ workshops and other arts to explore. Register your students today, because there are only 30 spaces for Saturday!!
